Common Reasons for Denial
- Duplicate benefit: Another household member already has Lifeline
- Document issues: Expired, blurry, or mismatched name on documents
- Income too high: Household income exceeds 135% FPL
- Address mismatch: ID address doesn't match application address
- Missing information: Incomplete application form
Steps to Fix & Reapply
- Read the denial letter carefully โ it states the specific reason
- Gather correct documents โ see our documents checklist
- Fix the issue โ update address on ID, get current benefit letters, etc.
- Reapply โ you can reapply immediately after fixing the issue
- Appeal if needed โ contact your provider or USAC for appeals
