ACP Free iPhone Program

What Is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal government benefit program created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021) to help ensure that households can afford the broadband connectivity they need for work, school, healthcare, and everyday life. The ACP is administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and managed by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).

The ACP provides two key benefits to eligible households: a monthly discount of up to $30 toward internet service (or up to $75/month for qualifying households on Tribal lands), and a one-time discount of up to $100 toward a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet — which many providers extend to smartphones including iPhones. When combined with the Lifeline program, eligible Americans can receive a completely free iPhone along with free monthly wireless service.

Since its launch, the ACP has connected over 23 million households to affordable internet and devices, making it one of the largest and most successful connectivity programs in American history. If you qualify, this program can provide you with a brand new or certified refurbished iPhone 13 or iPhone 15 at absolutely no cost.

Who Qualifies for the ACP?

A household is eligible for the ACP if the household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if a member of the household meets one of these criteria:

You Qualify If You Participate In:

  • SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program / Food Stamps)
  • Medicaid / Medi-Cal
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
  • WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)
  • Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch / Breakfast Program
  • Federal Pell Grant (current award year)
